- Job Opportunity: Physician – Dermatology
- Location: Evans Army Community Hospital (EACH), Fort Carson, CO
- Start Date: ASAP – upon completion of credentialing, privileging, and security verification
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 0700–1600 (60-minute unpaid lunch); not to exceed 40 hours per week

Evans Army Community Hospital is looking for a board-certified dermatologist to provide expert, independent care to Soldiers, retirees, and military families at Fort Carson. What You’ll Do
Clinical Care
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat diseases of the skin, hair, nails, mucous membranes, and subcutaneous tissue
- Perform biopsies and other diagnostic techniques, and determine clinical laboratory testing needs
- Prescribe treatment, including medication, cutaneous laser treatments, phototherapy, iontophoresis, and photodynamic therapy
- Eradicate biopsy-proven cutaneous malignancies, or refer patients to the appropriate provider
- Recognize adverse signs and respond quickly to emergent conditions
Consultation & Collaboration
- Provide consultative services to medical and surgical clinics and evaluate patients referred by the Emergency Department
- Serve as dermatology consultant for inpatients in line with local MTF instructions
- Consult with commanders on at-risk patients, fitness for duty, TDRL evaluations, and medical boards
- Follow DoD/DHA referral and consult processes and the approved formulary
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team, offering mutual consultative support
- Teaching, Quality & Documentation
- Instruct medical students, interns, residents, nurse practitioner students, PA interns, and nursing staff
- Participate in monthly peer review, quality assurance, committees, and Joint Commission standards
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record and complete all notes before your last day
- Perform other duties as assigned within your scope of privileges

- Proficient with electronic health records and standard office and web-based applications
- A team player who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and continuous learning
Qualifications
Education
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.); foreign medical graduates must hold an ECFMG certificate
Completion of an ACGME-accredited dermatology residency or fellowship
Experience
At least 24 months of documented, current, independent clinical experience within the last 60 months, sufficient to be awarded “Regular” privileges (recent residency or fellowship completion may satisfy part or all of this)
Experience in a DoD or VA medical treatment facility is preferred
Certifications & Licensure
Current American Board of Dermatology or American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology certification (or actively maintaining certification)
- Current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications, maintained at your own expense
- Current, valid, unrestricted medical license
- Held in the U.S. jurisdiction where services are performed (Colorado)
- Must remain free of limitations, stipulations, or pending adverse actions
Eligibility
- U.S. citizenship (required for all positions on this contract)
- Ability to submit a complete credentialing package within 30 days
- Meet DoD health requirements before placement
- Hepatitis B series with a positive titer; MMR and varicella (series or positive titer)
- Annual influenza vaccine and tuberculosis screening (2-step PPD or QuantiFERON)
