The Behavioral Health Tech is responsible for assisting the Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in direct patient care and gathering necessary information to support the implementation of the patient treatment and care plan. This role also involves ensuring patient and family safety while actively contributing to the maintenance of a therapeutic environment.
Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, prior experience in a behavioral healthcare setting, and holding an active American Heart Association BLS certification. Candidates must also successfully complete Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training within 90 days of hire and maintain it annually.
