Respiratory Therapist - Nights

Hourly Pay Range: $33.16 - $49.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights: Position: Respiratory Therapist Location: Highland Park Hospital Part Time: 20 hours per week Hours: 7:00pm to 7:30am and 11:00pm -7:30am/ Weekend Rotation Required Travel: No What will you need: License: Licensed by the State of Illinois as a Respiratory Care Practitioner required Education: Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of respiratory therapy required Certification: CPR (BLS) Experience: 6 months experience in a health care setting preferred; 1 year of adult critical care experience, neonatal or adult, preferred What you will do: Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians according hospital policy and procedures Assess patients to determine most suitable method of administering treatment Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities and transcribe verbal or phone order by physicians Communicate to patient and family the treatment being performed in a clear manner Monitor patient physiological response to therapy with special attention to the pediatric and neonatal patients Provide patient and staff education Benefits: Eligibility for our Annual Incentive Plan, which offers the potential to earn a certain percentage amount of your base salary based on organizational performance.
