Join Parexel’s Early Phase Clinical Unit in Glendale, California, where you’ll work alongside physicians, clinical research professionals, and study teams helping evaluate investigational therapies at an important stage of drug development.

This is a full-time, day-shift position offering a collaborative team environment and an attractive schedule for PAs seeking greater work-life balance. The on-call rotation is approximately 1 out of every 6 weekends.

Whether you already have clinical research experience or are interested in bringing your PA experience into research, this is an excellent opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to the development of new medicines.

What You’ll Do

• As a Physician Assistant within our Early Phase Clinical Unit, you’ll combine hands-on clinical care with clinical research responsibilities, including:
• Interviewing, examining, and assessing potential study participants for eligibility in clinical trials
• Performing medical histories and physical examinations
• Providing study information and obtaining informed consent from potential research participants
• Reviewing laboratory results, medical histories, physical assessments, and study inclusion/exclusion criteria
• Working closely with physicians and clinical operations colleagues to provide medical and clinical oversight
• Monitoring and reviewing safety information, including adverse events, concomitant medications, laboratory data, and vital signs
• Collaborating with study sponsors regarding study conduct and progression when needed
• Supporting clinical protocols, reports, and other study-related documentation

Helping Train Clinical Operations Team Members

Ensuring clinical activities meet Good Clinical Practice (GCP), SOP, quality, and regulatory standards

Building strong, professional relationships with sponsors, physicians, consultants, and other members of the clinical research team

• What We’re Looking For

Education & Certification

Completion of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)

National Physician Assistant certification

Experience

At least 6–12 months of experience as a Physician Assistant

Clinical research experience is a plus, but the position is also an excellent opportunity for a PA interested in expanding into the clinical research environment

Skills

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to gather and evaluate information from multiple sources
• Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to quality and patient safety
