Empower Residents to Live More Independently

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our rehabilitation team at a skilled nursing facility in Florida. In this role, you will help residents regain independence, improve functional abilities, and enhance their overall quality of life following illness, injury, surgery, or changes in health status.

As part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will develop individualized treatment plans focused on helping residents safely perform daily activities and achieve their highest level of function.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate residents' physical, cognitive, and functional abilities.

• Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.

• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), self-care, mobility, and upper extremity function.

• Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to enhance resident safety and independence.

• Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, families, and other healthcare professionals.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations.

• Participate in care planning meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

• Current Florida Occupational Therapist license in good standing.

• Strong assessment, treatment planning, and clinical skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care.

Preferred

• Experience in a skilled nursing facility, post-acute care, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting.

• Knowledge of Medicare, PDPM, and rehabilitation reimbursement guidelines.

• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).

• Bilingual skills are a plus.
