The Pathologist Assistant supports pathologists by performing surgical specimen dissection and assisting with postmortem examinations. They are also responsible for gross dictation of complex specimens and may assist with workflow management, research, or teaching duties.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree from an approved Pathologists' Assistant program and obtain PA(ASCP) certification within one year. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, human anatomy, and clinical practices is required.
