Key Responsibilities

The respiratory care practitioner provides direct patient care in critical care settings, including mechanical ventilation and pulmonary hygiene. They also document patient status, participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams, and provide health teaching to patients and families.

Requirements

Candidates must hold an Associate's degree and an active Texas RRT license recognized by the NBRC. Required certifications include Basic Life Support, PALS, and NRP, with at least two years of relevant experience preferred.
