Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Part-Time Physician to provide medical services to clients participating in our Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program and HIV PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) services.
The ideal candidate will be an Infectious Disease physician or Internal Medicine physician with experience caring for individuals living with HIV and/or providing HIV prevention and sexual health services. Physicians with strong primary care experience and a willingness to work with HIV and PrEP populations are encouraged to apply.
This position will provide direct patient care, medical oversight, evaluation and treatment, and collaboration with our clinical and support services team to ensure clients receive comprehensive, culturally responsive, and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive medical care to Ryan White clients living with HIV.
- Evaluate and manage patients receiving or considering HIV PrEP.
- Provide appropriate evaluation, monitoring, and follow-up for patients receiving HIV prevention services.
- Diagnose and treat common sexually transmitted infections and other related conditions.
- Provide routine primary care and management of chronic medical conditions as appropriate.
- Review laboratory results and develop appropriate treatment and follow-up plans.
- Assess medication adherence, potential drug interactions, and treatment-related concerns.
- Coordinate care with case managers, nurses, pharmacists, behavioral health providers, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Provide appropriate referrals to specialists and other community resources when needed.
- Maintain timely and accurate medical records and documentation.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and support compliance with applicable clinical and program requirements.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable federal, state, and organizational policies.
- Provide clinical guidance and consultation to the care team as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Current, unrestricted Georgia medical license.
- Current DEA registration, if applicable to the position.
- Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, Infectious Disease, Family Medicine, or another relevant specialty.
- Current BLS certification or ability to obtain/maintain certification.
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
- Commitment to providing respectful, nonjudgmental, and culturally competent care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing care to individuals living with HIV/AIDS.
- Experience prescribing and managing PrEP and/or PEP.
- Experience with STI screening, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Experience working with LGBTQ+ populations.
- Experience with Ryan White-funded programs or other HIV care programs.
- Familiarity with HIV treatment guidelines, laboratory monitoring, medication adherence, and HIV prevention services.
- Experience working in community health, federally funded healthcare programs, or other underserved populations.

Compensation
