Responsibilities

Mayo Clinic, with bone marrow transplant (BMT) services in Arizona, Florida and Minnesota, makes up one of the largest medical centers in the world that perform haplo-identical, cord blood, peripheral blood and bone marrow transplants.

The NP PA will work with a high level of autonomy as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of physicians, fellows, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, dieticians, and transplant coordinators.

The NP PA will work in 3 integrated, but unique, practice settings to include an inpatient hospital service, a one-of-a-kind 24/7 hospital-based outpatient clinic setting with daily patient visits, and a full-spectrum pre and post-transplant outpatient clinic.

As independent providers, with close physician collaboration, the NP PA will conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnose, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe chemotherapeutic and pharmacologic agents and assist with patient education.

Our practice is unique in that we have the benefits of a teaching institution with a multitude of practices supporting educational as well as a variety of research opportunities. Our patients have complex hematologic malignancies along with a wide range of comorbidities. Therefore, our NP PA providers are proficient in not only delivering excellent BMT care to our patients but also are continually challenged to develop and utilize a variety of internal medicine skills.

During the selection process you may participate in an OnDemand (pre-recorded) interview that you can complete at your convenience. During the OnDemand interview, a question will appear on your screen, and you will have time to consider each question before responding.

You will have the opportunity to re-record your answer to each question – Mayo Clinic will only see the final recording. The complete interview will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic staff member and you will be notified of next steps.
