The resident develops clinical pharmacy practice skills consistent with ASHP standards, working with preceptors to optimize patient care through rational, safe, and cost-effective drug therapy. Duties involve providing pharmaceutical care across various clinical areas, including drug therapy recommendations, literature evaluation, and patient counseling.
A Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D or Bachelor of Pharmacy) from an ACPE accredited school is required, with no prior experience necessary for this residency position. Candidates must obtain Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification within 90 days and hold the relevant state Pharmacist license for the location of work.
