McLeod Health is seeking a skilled Imaging Technologist – Advanced PET Imaging to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while delivering exceptional patient care. Job Summary
The Imaging Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures across multiple modalities according to physician orders and established protocols. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, a commitment to patient safety, and excellent customer service skills.
Essential Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures in multiple modalities in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging exams while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Operate, maintain, and monitor imaging equipment to ensure proper functionality and image quality.
- Verify patient identity and review medical history to select appropriate imaging techniques.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards, infection control guidelines, and all regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate image quality and make necessary adjustments to obtain diagnostic-quality studies.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare team members to support accurate image interpretation and patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Educate patients regarding imaging procedures and address questions or concerns.
Participate in ongoing education, training, and professional development activities to maintain certifications and stay current with advancing imaging technologies.

Qualifications
- Education
- Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field required.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 1–2 years of diagnostic imaging experience required.
- Multi-modality imaging experience strongly preferred.
- Certifications/Licensure
- ARRT Certification in Radiography required.
- Additional ARRT certifications in CT, MRI, PET, or other imaging modalities preferred.
- Current state licensure as required.
- Skills & Abilities
- Strong technical knowledge of radiographic procedures and imaging equipment.
- Excellent patient care, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and exceptional patient outcomes.
