Job Description
. This contract, on-site position offers a unique opportunity to deliver essential anesthesia care in a dynamic medical practice environment while collaborating with experienced anesthesia professionals.
As a Locum CRNA, you will administer anesthesia and monitor patients before, during, and after surgical and medical procedures. You will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure patient safety, comfort, and positive outcomes throughout the perioperative experience.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical and medical procedures
- Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout procedures
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and review patient medical histories
- Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care plans
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and clinical teams
- Manage patient recovery and post-anesthesia care
- Respond promptly to anesthesia-related emergencies and complications
- Maintain accurate anesthesia records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and clinical standards
- Educate patients and families about anesthesia procedures and recovery
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Stay current with advancements in anesthesia practice and techniques
Requirements
- Associate degree in Nursing or a related field
- Valid CRNA certification and active nursing license
- Proven experience administering anesthesia in clinical or surgical settings
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia agents, techniques, and monitoring equipment
- Ability to assess and manage patient responses to anesthesia
- Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Willingness to work on-site in Angola on a contract basis
Schedule: 7a-3p, specific dates
Weekday and weekend call
3 ORs, 2 Endo rooms
Case Types: General, Ortho, Endo, Podiatry, ENT, and OB
Must be comfortable working independently
EMR: Epic
ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
