The Challenge (Job Summary)

As an Occupational Therapist for NOMS Healthcare, you are responsible for the
evaluation, planning, directing, and administering of occupational therapy
modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. 

Your Day to Day & Essential Functions

* You will comply with HIPAA and OSHA regulatory requirements.
* You will administer treatments and occupational agents as prescribed by a
referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability
following injury, disease or physical disability. 
* You will assist patients to reach their maximum performance and level of
functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. 
*  You will ensure that any changes in patient status are documented accurately
and on a timely basis.  
* The staff OT participates in operational aspects of the department maintains
performance improvement activities within the department and participates in
all Quality Assurance activities. 
* The staff therapist coordinates delegates and supervises responsibilities
assigned to support staff (COTA, Rehab Techs). 
* You will provide input in formulating budget, assists in evaluating
department performance versus budget controls and takes appropriate action to
remain in budget guidelines.
* You will participate in all infection control, departmental equipment
training, organizational safety and fire safety programs.

Education and Work Experience

1. Bachelor’s Degree.
2. Licensed in the State of Ohio

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree and possess a valid Occupational Therapy license in the State of Ohio. Strong communication skills, the ability to adapt to changing clinical environments, and a commitment to patient-centered care are required.
