Position Overview

Apex Skin & Aesthetics is seeking a fellowship-trained Mohs Surgeon to join our physician-led dermatology practice in Northeast Ohio. The Mohs Surgeon will provide specialized surgical care, including Mohs micrographic surgery and related cutaneous procedures, while collaborating with dermatologists, dermatopathologists, APPs, and clinical staff.

The ideal candidate is committed to high-quality, patient-centered care and values clinical collaboration, professionalism, and strong patient relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Mohs micrographic surgery and related cutaneous surgical procedures.
• Evaluate patients and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative patient care.
• Collaborate with referring dermatologists and members of the clinical team.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Provide evidence-based care consistent with established clinical and regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality improvement, education, research, or other professional activities as appropriate.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Completion of an accredited Dermatology residency.
• Fellowship training in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology.
• Board certified or board eligible in Dermatology.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Ohio.
• Demonstrated surgical and clinical proficiency.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence.

Employee Health & Safety Requirements

All patient-facing employees are required to provide proof of a TB test within the past 12 months and an annual flu vaccination as part of Apex Skin’s employee health and safety protocols. The Hepatitis B vaccination series is also strongly recommended for clinical staff due to potential occupational exposure risks.
