The Physician Specialist performs psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients at the Elgin Mental Health Center. They also serve as a consultant to other medical staff and participate in staff development and medical program reviews.
Candidates must hold a valid State of Illinois Physician and Surgeon License and have completed an approved residency in psychiatry. Additional requirements include a valid Illinois Controlled Substance License and a DEA Certificate of Registration.
