Key Responsibilities
The speech pathologist is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in adult patients. They also provide aural rehabilitation and implement augmentative and alternative communication systems for patients in a home health setting.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a current, unencumbered license to practice speech pathology and a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). A current CPR certification is required, and one or more years of experience is preferred.
