You will be joining a fun, cohesive, and exceptionally skilled 9-doctor ER team that is widely recognized for delivering high-quality medicine while genuinely enjoying working together.
Why Wake Veterinary Medical Center?
Wake Veterinary Medical Center is a 24-hour hospital providing both primary care and emergency services. Our emergency service is fully supported by on-site specialty care, including two criticalists, three surgeons, two internists, and one oncologist.
Advanced imaging capabilities include ultrasound, a 64-slice CT scanner, and fluoroscopy. Imaging services are provided on-site five days a week in partnership with Dragonfly Imaging, and cardiology services are available on-site through our collaboration with CVCA Cardiac Care for Pets.
We have recently doubled our facility space, added dedicated procedure and chemotherapy suites, and significantly expanded our diagnostic and treatment capabilities to better support both our patients and our referring veterinary community.
Our ICU is a particular point of pride, staffed by a stable, highly experienced team of credentialed technicians and assistants who deliver exceptional critical care.
In addition, a dedicated daytime ICU hospitalist supports the management of hospitalized patients seven days a week, ensuring continuity, oversight, and collaborative case management across services.
Our hospital is in Knightdale, North Carolina, approximately 15 minutes east of Raleigh. Raleigh is consistently ranked among the best places to live in the United States, known for its strong economy, proximity to the Research Triangle, and diverse, welcoming community.
The area offers highly rated schools, family-friendly neighborhoods, outstanding restaurants, extensive greenway trails, and a central location within the state—just two hours from the North Carolina coast and three hours from the Blue Ridge Mountains.
