About the Role

Join University of Maryland Emergency Medicine as a Physician Assistant Supervisor - Surgery in United States. Under the direction and supervision of a licensed physician, provides patient care for FPI practices. Performs professional duties and technical procedures of the particular area of specialty to provide health care services, such as, history and physicals, progress notes, discharge summaries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Works with physicians to achieve service specific outcome targets for key metrics including clinical outcomes, and patient satisfaction.
  • Participates in performance improvement activities aimed at improving clinical outcomes and minimizing variation.
  • In collaboration with physician leadership and the multidisciplinary team, develops clinical pathways.
  • Participates in and leads quality assurance activities (i. e., chart reviews, peer review) and establishes standard of practice.
