Initiates and encourages interactions with patients through conversation, activities, and other means. Encourages a therapeutic relationship with patients.

Orients patient to unit and hospital. Provides factual information regarding treatment program.

Requirements

A High School Diploma or GED is required for this position, along with current American Heart Association CPR/AED certification for both adult and child. Candidates must also possess the physical ability to lift, turn, position, and restrain patients, and communicate effectively.
