The Float Counselor will facilitate groups and meetings, serving as the rational authority within the program milieu while following approved treatment curriculum and maintaining compliance with ADOC SATS contract obligations. Responsibilities include conducting SBIRT and ASAM based assessments, developing treatment plans, and facilitating groups related to substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.
Candidates must possess a Master’s level clinician degree in Behavioral Health Sciences or a related field with two years of related experience, preferably with knowledge of criminal personality and DSM diagnoses. Applicants must be able to obtain Alaska State CDCI Certification within one year and must pass ADOC background checks and PREA screening.
