Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner | Aurora, CO

• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week; standard clinic hours are 8:00 AM –
• 8:00 PM, seven days a week
• Compensation: $60–$80/hour, based on experience, plus bonus

Position Summary

We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our

team in Aurora, CO. This role is ideal for a clinician who values variety,

autonomy, and meaningful community impact while practicing in a fast-paced,

well-supported urgent care environment.

You’ll be supported by experienced clinical teams, strong peer relationships,

patient population and generally low-to-moderate acuity presentations that keep

skills sharp without the pressure of inpatient follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

* Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting

* Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits

* Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs, x-rays, and EKGs

* Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, splinting, wound care, and

incision and drainage, as applicable

* Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions

* Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR

* Code and bill services appropriately

* Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks

* Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values

Required Qualifications

* Active, unrestricted Colorado license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician

Assistant

* NP: ANCC or AANP certification; Family Nurse Practitioner certification

required

* PA: NCCPA certification

* Active DEA license, or ability to obtain

* Ability to treat patients of all ages

* Active BLS certification

* EHR proficiency

* Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays

* DOT certification required or willingness to obtain; fees covered

Preferred Qualifications

* Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience

* Strong procedural skills, including suturing, splinting, wound care, and

incision and drainage

* Experience with initial x-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read

* Comfortable working independently in a solo-provider urgent care model
