POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is to provide direct physical therapy interventions as planned, delegated, and supervised by the Physical Therapist. The person in this role will also record treatments given and note progress in medical records. In this role, you are entrusted to ensure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to our residents at all times.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists co-workers and promotes teamwork by sharing information useful to achieving desired results. Ensures that all residents are treated fairly, with kindness, dignity, and respect, and their rights are protected at all times. Respects and upholds all residents' personal and property rights whenever carrying out duties, including knocking before entering a resident's room. Complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures. Treat patients as directed by licensed therapist.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

Graduate of an accredited Assistant Program Successful completion of certificate/state licensure process for Physical or Occupational Therapy Assistants High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have current registration/licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant or Occupational Therapist Assistant
