Job Description

  • Hours: Average of 30 hours per week

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st shift, with onsite hours scheduled between 7:00 a. m. and 7:00 p. m.

Schedule Flexibility: This full-time position offers a 30-hour workweek with the flexibility to structure those hours across 3–5 days per week, based on candidate preference and client coverage needs. Whether you prefer fewer, longer days or a more traditional five-day schedule, we are open to finding an arrangement that supports both you and the client.

  • Salary: $93,500 annually**
  • Onsite hours and scheduling may vary based on contractual client expectations.

*Salary may be negotiable based on credentials and experience.

Position Overview

Briotix Health is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist. A day in the life of a Briotix Health provider includes using your clinical knowledge, functional assessment skills, and strong relationship-building abilities to provide independent, one-on-one workers’ compensation treatment and workplace health services to the employees of our clients.

This position provides individualized services to patients and Briotix Health clients, including occupational therapy treatment, job coaching, return-to-work support, ergonomic guidance, and Early Discomfort Management (EDM) services.

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for partnering with patients, client stakeholders, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment and workplace-health strategies designed to improve function, support safe return to work, reduce barriers to job performance, and contribute to a healthier and more productive workforce.

  • Provide onsite Occupational Therapy services at one client location in Everett, WA

Evaluate employees’ functional abilities, work demands, and barriers affecting safe and effective job performance.

Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans focused on restoring function, improving participation in work activities, reducing discomfort, and supporting safe return to work.

Review physician referrals, medical records, job requirements, and other relevant information to determine appropriate occupational therapy interventions.

Perform and document initial evaluations to identify functional limitations, establish an occupational therapy diagnosis, and determine appropriate treatment goals and interventions.

Assess job tasks, body mechanics, workstations, tools, and environmental factors that may affect employee function or contribute to discomfort.

Collaborate with patients, medical providers, client stakeholders, and other appropriate parties to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment and return-to-work plans.

Educate patients regarding proposed interventions, treatment goals, expected outcomes, and strategies to improve function and reduce risk of reinjury.

Evaluate treatment effectiveness throughout the course of care and modify interventions as needed to maximize functional outcomes.

Establish and document measurable treatment goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.

Provide therapeutic interventions designed to improve functional performance, strength, mobility, endurance, coordination, body mechanics, and the ability to safely perform essential work tasks.

Recommend and educate employees on adaptive strategies, ergonomic modifications, activity modification, and other techniques that support safe and effective job performance.

Provide onsite management of work-related discomforts and injuries within the Occupational Therapist’s scope of practice.

Support employees through transitional duty and return-to-work processes, including job coaching and functional strategies appropriate to their work environment.

Act as an educator and advocate for the Working Athletes™ at assigned client locations.

Maintain current knowledge of workers’ compensation regulations, occupational therapy standards, and applicable treatment protocols.

Serve as a subject matter expert and deliver customized education and training related to ergonomics, injury prevention, body mechanics, functional performance, and workplace health.

Build collaborative relationships with client leadership, employees, medical providers, and other stakeholders to support successful treatment and workplace-health outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Appropriate licensure/certification required.
  • Current certification in CPR / BLS for health care providers.
  • Minimum of 1 years’ clinical experience.

  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated problem-solving and workflow management skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records.
  • Preferred experience in Occupational Medicine or Worker’s Compensation Plans.
