Job Description
- Job Title: Optometrist
- Job Type: Locum Tenens
- Location: Dover-Foxcroft, ME
- Service Setting: Outpatient Clinic (FQHC)
- Coverage Type: Clinical Only
- Coverage Period: April 20, 2026 – Ongoing (6 months)
- Clinical Shift Schedule: Tuesday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
Patient Information
- Patient Demographics: All ages
- Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 16 patients per day
- Case Mix: General optometry including eye exams, diagnosis of vision issues, prescribing corrective lenses, and treatment of eye conditions
Facility Information
- EMR System: Athena
- Office Equipment Available: Standard optometry equipment
- Support Staff Available: 1 Optometric Technician, 1 Optician
- Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage

Job Requirements
- Licenses: Active state license preferred; willing to license
- Board: National Board of Examiners in Optometry certification required
