Job Description

Evaluate patients, develop plan of care and provide treatment within the guidelines of physician referrals, participate in efficient, cost-effective planning and operation of the Physical Therapy Department.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses patients' functional status as it relates to reason for referral.
  • Plans and delivers treatment based on findings of initial assessment.
  • Provides patient education to promote knowledge and skills needed to meet patients' healthcare needs.
  • Supervises Occupational Therapy Assistants, Aides, Volunteers and Students.

Complies with all documentation guidelines per professional requirements, Joint Commission of Accreditation for Hospital Organizations' standards and Medicare standards.

Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy, or equivalent.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances

  • Two (2) years experience in Physical Therapy practice preferred, but new graduates are acceptable.
  • Ohio State license required.
  • Employee may also be required to obtain a West Virginia/Pennsylvania license.
  • BLS provider or obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • Physical Therapist (PT)
