Pay Range
The base pay range for this position is
$34.75-$52.49 Hourly however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Job Title: Respiratory Therapist- Lead
Work Schedule for this Position: Typically week days, but may work some weekends as needed.

Position Overview
Respiratory Therapist treats a range of patients from premature infants whose lungs are not fully developed to elderly people with pulmonary disease. Respiratory Therapist works under the supervision of physicians and delivers a range of respiratory care modalities on scheduled and emergency basis
A Day in the Life
- Operates mechanical ventilators.
- Operates non-invasive mechanical ventilators.
- Operates high-flow oxygen delivery systems.
- Draws umbilical cord gases.
- Draws arterial blood gases.
Determines appropriateness and participates in developing and recommending modifications to respiratory care plans.
Gathers information and interprets data regarding patient history, lab results, radiological reports, and other pertinent results regarding patient care.
- Demonstrates willingness to learn new techniques and new equipment.
- Actively initiates and participates in communication to assure effective delivery of respiratory care.
- Communicates with patients and family in a respectful manner.

- Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Care Program.
- Credentialed through the NBRC as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
- Licensed in the State of Washington as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Excellent communication skills with physicians, colleagues, and patients.
- Ability to learn and utilize new technologies
- Ability to manage time, tasks, and resources appropriately.
A Wow if You Have
- Five or more years’ experience.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required within 6 months of hire.
- Previous leadership experience.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
Requires graduation from an accredited respiratory care program, Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials through the NBRC, and a Washington State Respiratory Care Practitioner license. Strong communication, technology-learning, and time-management abilities are required; five or more years of experience, leadership experience, and BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are identified as additional qualifications, with certifications required within six months of hire.
