Responsibilities
USA Health Family Practice Associates is looking for a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to join our team. You will conduct exams, order tests, and prescribe medicines or implement treatments. We provide a broad range of services for every family member, to include wellness checks, preventative care and vaccinations, as well as treatment for a wide range of common illnesses. In addition, we provide ongoing comprehensive care for many chronic medical conditions such as diabetes and hypertension.
Applicants must have a license to practice medicine and board certification (or eligibility) in internal medicine or family medicine. You should also have a valid DEA registration number. Experience in family practice is beneficial.

Duties and Responsibilities
Provide high quality, evidence based patient care within the physician's specialty.
Diagnose, treat, and manage patients in accordance with accepted medical standards and organizational policies.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation within the electronic medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Participate in call coverage and practice responsibilities as required by the department.
- Maintain compliance with all hospital, regulatory, accreditation, and payer requirements.
- Participate in departmental meetings and other organizational activities as appropriate.
- Support the mission, vision, and values of USA Health through excellence in patient care and professionalism.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and collaboration within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Experience utilizing electronic medical record systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain medical staff privileges.
- Ability to satisfy all payer credentialing requirements.
- Compliance with all applicable federal, state, institutional, and regulatory requirements.
- Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements
- Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards
- Regular and prompt attendance
- Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required
- Related duties as assigned
Additional Information
Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Required
Successful completion of an ACGME accredited residency program and fellowship training, when applicable. Required
Board Certified or Board Eligible in the applicable specialty through the appropriate American Board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), as required by the department. Required
Previous clinical experience within the applicable specialty. Preferred
Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and collaboration within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Preferred
- Experience utilizing electronic medical record systems. Preferred
- Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Alabama. Required
- Eligible for hospital privileges and payer credentialing. Required
- Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one. Required
- Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
