Job Description

Carle Health is seeking experienced and motivated CRNAs to join a highly collaborative team of more than 60 CRNAs at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois. This is an outstanding opportunity to practice with a high level of autonomy in a dynamic academic, research, and Level I trauma setting—while enjoying exceptional work-life balance, strong clinical support, and a highly competitive recruitment package.

Opportunity Details

  • PRN position with flexibility to fit your schedule
  • Minimum commitment of one shift per month
  • Flexible scheduling with 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts available
  • Join an autonomous, team-centered department of more than 60 CRNAs performing over 19,500 cases annually at an established research and teaching hospital
  • Practice at a Level I Trauma Center with exposure to a broad and diverse case mix
  • CRNA subgroups covering OB, pediatric, and heart cases
  • Perform cases across all surgical services except transplants and burns
  • Practice with a high degree of autonomy while maintaining strong collaboration with anesthesiologists

Education Requirements

Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing Anesthesia

Licensure/Certification Requirements

  • Current Illinois Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license
  • Current certification through the NBCRNA
  • ACLS certification required
  • PALS certification preferred or required based on clinical assignment

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $199.88/hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health.

The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model. Key Responsibilities

The CRNA will provide anesthesia services across various surgical specialties including OB, pediatric, and heart cases in a Level I Trauma Center. They will work autonomously while maintaining strong collaboration with anesthesiologists in an academic and research-focused environment.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing Anesthesia and possess a current Illinois APRN license. Certification through the NBCRNA, ACLS certification, and PALS certification are also required or preferred.
