Key Responsibilities

The Medical Social Worker is responsible for implementing standards of care for medical social work services, which includes assessing the psychosocial status of patients and families related to terminal illness and environment. Duties also involve providing counseling, maintaining clinical records, offering referral services for practical needs, and participating in the individualized plan of care development.

Licensure & Certifications

Candidates must be a graduate of a master's program in social work and possess a minimum of one year of experience in healthcare, with hospice experience being preferred. Applicants must also have good verbal and written communication skills, maintain current CPR certification, and possess a valid driver's license with adequate automobile insurance.
