Position Summary

Per diem pharmacists at Neighborhealth play a critical role in maintaining continuity of pharmacy services and supporting high-quality patient care. These pharmacists provide flexible coverage for scheduled absences, vacancies, extended hours, and fluctuations in patient volume while ensuring safe and efficient medication management.

Key Expectations Include

  • Verifying and dispensing prescriptions accurately and in compliance with Massachusetts pharmacy regulations.
  • Providing patient counseling, medication education, and clinical support to promote medication adherence and positive health outcomes.
  • Collaborating with providers, nurses, and other healthcare team members to optimize patient care.
  • Supporting pharmacy operations, including workflow management, documentation, inventory oversight, and quality assurance activities.
  • Maintaining excellent customer service standards and contributing to a positive patient experience.

Demonstrating flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work across various clinical and community health center pharmacy settings as needed.

Per diem pharmacists are expected to uphold NeighborHealth's commitment to equitable, patient-centered care by ensuring patients have timely access to medications, clinical expertise, and pharmacy services that support improved health outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Salary Range: $61.50/hr. up to $84.15/hr.
