Reviews prescriptions and medication orders for appropriateness and compatibility with current therapy, disease states, drug allergies, adverse drug effects, duplication of therapy and compliance to ensure patients’ medication therapy is safe, effective, timely, and free from drug-related problems.
Communicates with all healthcare professionals and patients concerning medical care to ensure safety and effectiveness. Provides direction to technical staff and participates in performance enhancement initiatives.

Position: Per Diem, Staff Pharmacist AMB
Experience
One year of work in retail or hospital pharmacy where IV admixtures, automated distribution functions, and clinical counseling were employed is preferred.
Education
Doctorate in Pharmacy
Licensures/Certifications
BLS Certification by American Heart Association preferred upon hire, required in timeframe specified in CPR (BLS)/ALS/PALS Policy
- RP - Registered Pharmacist - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- Immunization certification (Authorization to Administer Injectables) is required within 90 days of hire.

The pharmacist provides quality pharmaceutical care by reviewing prescriptions for safety and effectiveness while dispensing medications. They also communicate with healthcare professionals and patients to ensure optimal medical outcomes and provide direction to technical staff.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a Doctorate in Pharmacy and a valid Pennsylvania Registered Pharmacist license. One year of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred, along with BLS certification.
