Emergency Department Clinical Pharmacist - Pharmacy

The Clinical Pharmacist has the responsibility for the provision of high-quality, individualized, cost-effective pharmaceutical care and integrated pharmacy operational services in collaboration with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes and quality of life.

Pharmacists work closely with our ED physicians at the bedside to evaluate patient needs, comorbidities and provide recommendations for drug therapy and dosing.

The Covenant ED is a Level 2 Trauma Center and Certified Stroke Center making it a fast-paced environment with high acuity patients that require expert clinical pharmacist support.

Required Qualifications

• PharmD in Pharmacy or
• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
• Upon hire: Texas Pharmacist Registered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Acute Care Hospital Pharmacy experience, 1 year or equivalent experience.
• Completion of ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
