About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Ensures safe, appropriate, cost effective medication therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures, and protocols: monitors drug therapy regiments for contraindications, drug
- drug interactions, drug
- formulary procurements, utilizing therapeutic substitution protocols and promoting rational drug therapy selection.
Requirements
- Interprets department policies and procedures to personnel, patients/family members, etc., as necessary; assists in cost containment development of the department within budgeted parameters.
- Adheres to all Hospital Policies and Procedures, specifically Guidelines for Appropriate Conduct, Corporate Compliance, Diversity, and Confidentiality.
- Applies the principles and values of customer service and continuous quality improvement while performing day
