Job Description
We are a growing dermatology practice committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care across Oregon and Washington. As we continue expanding specialty services, we are seeking a compassionate and motivated Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing team.
We are looking for a provider who is passionate about delivering patient-centered care and helping patients improve their overall health and well-being. The ideal candidate is clinically confident, personable, collaborative, and committed to providing high-quality care in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and mental health evaluations.
- Obtain patient histories, assess symptoms, and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Diagnose and manage appropriate mental health conditions within the provider's scope of practice.
- Provide medication management when appropriate and within scope and licensure.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and wellness strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Provide compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered care.
Recognize situations requiring referral to a psychiatrist, psychologist, therapist, emergency services, or other specialists.
Maintain compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, clinical standards, and organizational policies.

Requirements
- Active Oregon NP or PA license (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
- NCCPA certification for PAs or board certification/certification appropriate to the NP's specialty
- DEA license and prescriptive authority, as applicable to the provider's scope of practice (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum 1 year of behavioral health, psychiatric, or related clinical experience preferred
Strong behavioral healthl assessment, therapeutic communication, patient education, and patient-centered care skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with physicians, mental health professionals, and other members of a multidisciplinary care team
Strong clinical documentation, treatment-planning, communication, and time-management skills
Preferred
Experience providing psychological or behavioral health care in an outpatient, hospital, or multidisciplinary clinical setting
Experience supporting patients coping with cancer diagnoses, chronic illness, grief, anxiety, depression, adjustment concerns, or treatment-related stress
Interest in helping develop and grow behavioral health services as part of the new cancer center
