HOSPITALIST

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT OPENING Southwest Fort Worth, TEXAS Texas Health Physicians Group is pleased to announce a Physician Assistant Hospitalist opening for a full-time opportunity in southwest Fort Worth, TX. Expand your career by working closely with a successful group of hospitalists evaluating, diagnosing and treating a variety of patients.

POSITION DETAILS

Ø Assist Hospitalists with inpatient evaluations, H&P’s & follow-up visits. Ø Initiate appropriate treatment & testing for medical illnesses. Ø Complete history and physical examinations on all new admissions Ø Round on rehabilitation patients including long term acute care patients Ø Document using EMR system. Ø Participate in continuous quality improvement processes. IF YOU: Ø Enjoy working Day Shift 7a-7p/ 7 days on 7 days off Ø Active listening, critical thinking, reading comprehension, effective communication, time management, judgement and decision making Ø Texas licensed Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Ø ACLS certification Ø 2 years of PA experience in ICU/CVICU required.

The Physician Assistant (“PA”) will be licensed as a physician assistant in the State of Texas and maintain such license in good standing at all times. Master's degree Physician Assistant required.
The PA will report to the supervising physician and/or the Medical Director and will be responsible for meeting CME requirements to maintain certification and licensure.
The PA’s duties and responsibilities apply to the THPG patient population and assigned setting only.

Key Responsibilities

The Physician Assistant will assist hospitalists with inpatient evaluations, history and physical examinations, and follow-up visits. They are also responsible for initiating treatment, documenting in the EMR, and rounding on rehabilitation and acute care patients.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master's degree as a Physician Assistant and possess at least 2 years of experience in ICU/CVICU. Additionally, a Texas license and ACLS certification are required for this role.
