As a Specialty Pharmacist you will provide high-touch support to patients with complex, specialty diseases, helping them achieve better outcomes through personalized care and consistent engagement.

You’ll enroll and retain patients, deliver exceptional service, and act as a trusted resource throughout their therapy journey to maximize their access to pharmacy care.

Responsibilities include resolving drug-related issues, educating patients and healthcare providers, coordinating clinical and billing projects, and contributing to formulary and compliance efforts. You’ll also serve as a specialty medication expert, continuously expanding your knowledge through research and writing.

Pharmacy Hours: 9-5pm Monday-Friday

Scheduled hours: 2 days a month for vacation coverage

Primary Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and dispense medication orders to ensure appropriateness, safety, and accuracy
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and pharmacokinetic dosing and monitoring
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to optimize medication regimens for hospitalized patients
  • Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding activities, ensuring compliance with USP and hospital standards
  • Monitor patient outcomes and medication safety, identifying and preventing adverse drug events
  • Supervise and support pharmacy technicians and interns, ensuring efficient and compliant workflow
  • Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance, including Joint Commission, state, and federal requirements

Required Qualifications

  • ACPE- accredited PharmD degree
  • Active applicable state pharmacist license in good standing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Qualification

MS Pharmacy and/or Board certification
