Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced and patient-focused Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our growing Men’s Health Clinic. This is an exciting opportunity to help establish and grow a dedicated men’s health program focused on comprehensive, evidence-based care for male patients across the lifespan.
The APP will work collaboratively with urologists and the multidisciplinary care team to evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage patients with a broad range of urologic and men's health conditions.
The ideal candidate is clinically confident, compassionate, comfortable discussing sensitive health concerns, and interested in developing a long-term relationship with patients.
Responsibilities Perform comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations for patients presenting with urologic and men's health concerns.
Evaluate and manage common men's health conditions, including: Erectile dysfunction Low testosterone / testosterone deficiency Premature ejaculation and other sexual health concerns Male infertility Peyronie’s disease Men's wellness and preventive health concerns Order, interpret, and follow appropriate laboratory and diagnostic testing.
Develop individualized treatment plans and provide patient education regarding treatment options, risks, benefits, and alternatives. Prescribe medications and manage ongoing therapies within the APP's scope of practice.
Monitor patients receiving testosterone replacement therapy and other men's health treatments in accordance with current clinical guidelines and practice protocols. Perform appropriate office-based procedures within the APP's training and scope of practice.
Provide follow-up care and longitudinal management of chronic urologic and men's health conditions. Identify patients requiring urologic surgical evaluation or escalation of care and coordinate referrals with the supervising/ collaborating urologist.
Work closely with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, laboratory personnel, and other members of the healthcare team. Participate in development and implementation of clinical protocols for the men's health program.
Educate patients regarding lifestyle modification, cardiovascular/metabolic health, sexual health, and preventive care as appropriate. Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the electronic medical record. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and practice development.
Required
Qualifications
Master of Science Nursing degree from an accredited institution. Minimum 3–5 years of clinical nursing experience; urology or outpatient specialty experience preferred.
Current active state license (or eligibility for licensure) in Kentucky and/or Indiana, with active national board certification (AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA). Experience in urology, men's health, sexual medicine, endocrinology, family medicine, internal medicine, or a related specialty preferred.
Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. Comfort discussing sensitive topics such as sexual dysfunction, fertility, testosterone therapy, and intimate health concerns. Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a urologist and clinical team.
Proficiency with EMR systems and strong documentation skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills. Education and Certifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Healthcare Administration preferred.
