Description

Baptist Health Medical Group (BHMG), part of Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF), the largest healthcare organization in the South Florida region with medical practices spanning from Key West to Palm Beach, is seeking to employ a Neuromuscular Neurologist to join its well-established program at its Marcus Neuroscience Institute, part of Baptist Health Brain & Spine Care. The Institute includes a 20-bed neuroscience intensive care unit and four dedicated operating rooms with access to the latest intraoperative MRI and CT technology, as well as a biplane angiography suite critical for fast diagnosis and care of neurological conditions. The incoming provider, who will report to the Chief of Neurology, will join a large and well-supported team of 31 interdisciplinary physicians and 21 advanced practice providers caring for patients in seven locations across Broward and Palm Beach counties.

  • Requirements include MD/DO from an accredited institution, active and unrestrictive medical license (or eligibility for licensure by start date), and satisfactory completion of all required due diligence tasks and credentialing
  • Candidates must be Board Certified in Neurology and Board Certified/Eligible in Neuromuscular Medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)
  • Preferred qualifications include one to three years of clinical experience in Neuromuscular Medicine, expertise in EMG and nerve conduction studies, experience managing multidisciplinary neuromuscular programs, and participation in clinical research, teaching, or academic medicine
  • Candidates will evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other motor neuron disorders; myasthenia gravis and other neuromuscular junction disorders; muscular dystrophies; peripheral neuropathies and neuronopathies; myopathies; and hereditary neuromuscular disorders
  • Academically affiliated with Florida International University (FIU) and Florida Atlantic University (FAU), BHSF has been teaching residents at FAU since 2018, and most recently launched a 16-resident neurology program at FIU in 2025
