SUBSTANCE USE COUNSELOR

Key Responsibilities

The counselor performs comprehensive assessments and develops individualized treatment plans for clients with substance use disorders. They provide individual and group counseling while managing case records and monitoring client progress within a correctional setting.

Requirements

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and the ability to obtain Missouri Department of Corrections clearance. Ability to obtain Missouri Alcohol Drug Counselor (MAADC) certification is required, which the employer supports during the first 30 days.
