Silvermist Recovery, part of Pyramid Healthcare, is seeking a dedicated PRN Counselor to join our clinical team serving individuals in behavioral health and substance use treatment. This position provides clinical support to clients throughout their recovery journey through assessments, treatment planning, individual and group counseling, and coordination of care.

The ideal candidate is a compassionate, clinically skilled professional who is committed to evidence-based treatment, ethical clinical practice, and helping individuals achieve meaningful recovery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Assess clients’ behavioral, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and social needs to support individualized treatment planning.

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team to establish, implement, and monitor client treatment goals in accordance with clinical policies and accreditation standards.

Provide clinical services, including individual counseling, family sessions, and therapeutic group facilitation, as appropriate.

Communicate and coordinate care with referral sources, outpatient providers, and other members of the client’s support network as needed.

Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive clinical documentation in the Electronic Clinical Record (ECR).

Support utilization review activities by completing required clinical documentation and providing information within established timelines.

Participate in discharge planning, aftercare coordination, and outcome documentation to promote continuity of care.

Assist with the development and delivery of program-specific clinical curriculum and therapeutic programming as needed.

  • Conduct level-of-care assessments as required.
  • Help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for clients, including providing crisis intervention when necessary.
  • Participate in on-call responsibilities if assigned and as required by program policy.
  • Complete all required training and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Active Pennsylvania licensure as an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), LCS (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) is required.

  • Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related clinical field.
  • Experience providing counseling services in behavioral health and/or substance use treatment is preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, referral sources, and multidisciplinary treatment teams.
  • Sound clinical judgment, professionalism, and the ability to respond effectively to challenging situations.

Requirements

Candidates must hold an active Pennsylvania license as an LPC, LCSW, or LCSW and possess a master's degree in a clinical field. Experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment is preferred along with strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
