Counselor-Substance Abuse-(HRA) West Farms

Key Responsibilities

The counselor conducts substance abuse assessments and develops comprehensive service plans for clients in a congregate program. They also provide individual and group counseling, facilitate referrals, and educate staff and clients on harm reduction strategies.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a CASAC, CASAC-T, or LCSW credential along with three to five years of relevant counseling experience. A four-year degree is required, and experience with HIV/AIDS or chronic mental illness is considered a plus.
