Key Responsibilities
- Supervises graduate level students and supervises other social workers pursuing their clinical licensure.
- Receives referrals and assesses in a timely manner those patients and families/significant others who are referred to social service work service.
- Integrates social work plan into overall patient care through interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Conducts clinical mental health assessments for patients in behavioral health crisis, legal paperwork for involuntary detention and provides safety planning for patients ready for discharge.

Requirements
A Master's degree in Social Work or a related behavioral health field is the minimum education requirement, along with a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license. A minimum of 5 years of experience is required, preferably in a hospital or community health agency setting.
