Job Description
JOB LOCATION: Wilkes-Barre General Hospital - Per Diem (rotating)
Position Purpose
The Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for all aspects of patient care ensuring that cardiovascular and respiratory care is rendered to patients in accordance with the NBRC and hospital standards. Provide consultation, instruction and technical direction to medical, nursing and other staff members.
Position Qualifications
Education
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)Graduate of AMA approved school of respiratory care with required didactic and clinical experience with all patient populations
Experience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes
Two (2) years of clinical and technical experience preferred; Good communication skills; Ability to work with others (physicians, therapists, nursing, etc). Communication skills; teach/instruct; technical and clinical expertise; resource person; manual and finger dexterity; mechanically inclined; ability to carry out duties of charge person.
Licenses/Certificates
Licensed by the State of PennsylvaniaCurrent ACLS, BLS, & PALS required and must be completed prior to end of orientation period
