Key Responsibilities
The Physical Therapist is responsible for planning and providing treatment to meet patient rehabilitation goals, which includes developing and implementing the physical therapy plan and establishing a plan of care. This role also involves advocating, communicating, and educating patients of all ages while demonstrating sensitivity to their needs, and providing leadership by mentoring PTAs, students, and volunteers.
Requirements
Candidates must possess a Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy and hold a current Physical Therapist (PT) License in the state of practice, along with current CPR certification. The role requires competence and sensitivity when dealing with patients' physical, emotional, and sociopsychological needs.
