Key Responsibilities

The Behavioral Health Consultant will provide integrated behavioral healthcare within a primary care setting, acting as an extension of the physician by offering consultation on mental health and addiction, brief therapy, and care coordination. This role involves direct patient care, developing patient care plans, executing clinical assessments like SBIRT, and educating patients, families, and staff on self-care techniques.

Requirements

Candidates must possess knowledge of behavioral medicine methods and evidence-based treatments for medical, mental health, and substance use conditions, along with the ability to perform psychological assessments and brief psychotherapeutic interventions in a primary care setting.
