About the Role
Join Inova Health System as a Behavioral Health Therapist – M-F Day Shift in United States. Behavioral Health Therapist I Inova Kellar Center Fairfax is looking for a dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist I to join the Partial Hospitalization Program team. To provide trauma-informed care for teens aged 12-18 in a high-acuity setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides a range of mental health and/or substance use disorders therapeutic interventions, psycho
- educational programming and behavioral interventions (when indicated) to assist the patient/family in achieving the goals and objectives of the individualized service plan.
- May participate in inpatient and community psychoeducational programs, facilitate support groups for specified disease processes related to mental health, medical diagnosis, chronic or life
- limited illnesses while assisting with community outreach.
Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree, Ph. D., PsyD, EdD in mental health, social work, counseling, psychology, or behavioral health
- related field
- Experience: Internship in mental health or substance use disorder treatment completed within 90 days of employment.
- Certification: Basic Life Support Within 3 Months. CPI in
