Job Description
Description for Internal Candidates
Under general supervision and according to established procedure specific to age and upon order of a physician provides respiratory care designed to stabilize, prevent or remedy patient respiratory problems.
In doing so, arranges and operates a variety of oxygen and other therapeutic gas equipment in order to safely administer prescribed doses of medical gases and aerosolized drugs to patients.
Checks equipment regularly for proper functioning and records data obtained during therapy and diagnostic testing in patient charts. Draws, analyzes, and reports ABGs to physicians and nurses. Involved with adult ventilator weaning protocol and MDI protocol. Participates in embracing excellence and relationship based care.

The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.” The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.

Key Responsibilities
Provide respiratory care to stabilize and remedy patient problems using oxygen and therapeutic gas equipment. Perform ABG analysis and implement ventilator weaning and MDI protocols for patients across all age groups.
Requirements
Must be a graduate of an approved AMA school for Respiratory Therapy with a current NBRC credential and New Jersey state license. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS through the American Heart Association.
