Job Description
Join a Team Dedicated to Healing and Recovery
Client is seeking a compassionate and motivated Mental Health Therapist to provide high-quality therapeutic services to individuals receiving treatment for mental health and substance use disorders. This role is ideal for clinicians who are passionate about helping clients achieve lasting recovery through evidence-based, client-centered care.
As a Mental Health Therapist, you will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, provide therapy services, and support clients throughout their recovery journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and evaluations.
- Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy.
- Utilize evidence-based practices including CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care, and Relapse Prevention.
- Monitor client progress and update treatment plans as needed.
- Assess and respond to clinical crises, safety concerns, and behavioral health emergencies.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with medical, psychiatric, nursing, case management, and clinical teams.
- Participate in treatment team meetings, supervision, and discharge planning.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Required
Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
Active state license, associate license, registration, or clinical credential required to provide therapy services within the state of practice.
- Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Preferred
- Experience in behavioral health, mental health, substance use treatment, residential, PHP, IOP, or outpatient settings.
- Knowledge of co-occurring disorders and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Experience facilitating both individual and group therapy.
