Licensed Counselor (LPC, LCSW) – Hybrid

At One Behavioral, we believe quality mental health care starts with compassionate, collaborative, and patient-centered providers. We are a growing virtual and in-person mental health clinic serving a diverse population with a wide range of mental health needs.

Our multidisciplinary team includes psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, psychologists, and mental health counselors, allowing our providers to collaborate closely and provide coordinated care.

We work with referral partners including the Department of Mental Health, local hospitals with inpatient psychiatric programs, and community health centers. Our clinical team supports children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients across a variety of behavioral health needs.

We are currently seeking a Licensed Counselor (LPC or LCSW) to join our Houston team in a hybrid role.

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from Texas-licensed LPCs and LCSWs who are passionate about providing quality mental health care.

• Interns and master's-level candidates seeking supervised clinical hours may also be considered.
• A Spanish-speaking candidate is preferred as we work to best serve our local patient population.

What You’ll Do

As a Licensed Counselor, you will provide assessment, counseling, treatment planning, and ongoing support to patients in an outpatient setting.

Your Responsibilities May Include

• Provide individual and group counseling to improve mental health and overall well-being.
• Conduct initial and follow-up clinical assessments.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and therapeutic goals.
• Help clients explore emotions, experiences, relationships, and behavioral patterns.

Support clients experiencing concerns such as depression, anxiety, stress, substance use, anger management, relationships, self-image, career challenges, aging, bullying, and other mental health concerns.

• Work with individuals and families to identify goals and develop practical action plans.
• Develop and implement appropriate therapeutic processes.

Coordinate care and collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare providers.

Provide referrals and connect clients with appropriate community and healthcare resources when needed.

Take a holistic approach to mental health by considering the individual's overall emotional, behavioral, and physical well-being.

• Prepare appropriate clinical documentation, reports, claims, and correspondence.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
• Maintain reasonable availability during scheduled hours.
• Practice in accordance with all applicable Texas laws, rules, regulations, and professional standards.

Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team through direct care, consultation, collaboration, coordination, and referral.

• Follow One Behavioral's policies, procedures, and clinical standards.
• Maintain and continuously develop professional knowledge and clinical skills.

Qualifications

LPC or LCSW license in the State of Texas, or eligibility to practice under applicable supervision requirements.

• Master's-level candidates and interns seeking clinical hours may be considered.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and clinical skills.
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse patient population.
• Commitment to ethical, compassionate, and patient-centered care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Spanish-speaking candidates are preferred.
