The Radiation Therapist prepares and applies ionizing radiation to patients according to oncologist prescriptions and department protocols. They are responsible for operating complex radiation oncology equipment and maintaining accurate treatment records while ensuring patient safety.
Candidates must hold current ARRT and BLS certifications. A working knowledge of radiation oncology equipment, including linear accelerators and CT simulators, is required.
